California Council on Economic Education
A network of California Council on Economic Education Centers, mostly based on California State University campuses, including CSUSB, works to expand literacy in economics by training teachers and by reaching out to students, especially those students at risk of dropping out of high school. Center for Criminal Justice Research (CCJR)
The Criminal Justice Research Center provides expertise and research assistance to criminal justice agencies and organizations. The center develops funded research projects involving faculty and students that focus on criminal justice policy issues concerning local and regional agencies and the conduct of program evaluations and community impact studies. It houses the Crime Prevention Analysis Lab, which supports and conducts research focusing on public space, using a variety of tools and methods not commonly used in the criminal justice field. Research involves both community-wide crime mapping and place-intensive methods to assist agencies and community groups in developing crime prevention solutions.

Center for Labor Studies
The Center for Labor Studies seeks to promote economic and social advancement in the Inland Empire. The Center involves CSUSB faculty, CSUSB students, and a variety of community organizations concerned with labor in the Inland Empire. The Center is developing knowledge about the labor market in the Inland Empire, disseminating this knowledge in a way that contributes to social and economic advancement, and focusing the skills and energies of members of the CSUSB community on issues relevant to labor in the Inland Empire. Importantly, the Center gives CSUSB students opportunities for research and extracurricular activities that will enhance their intellectual and personal development and will permit them to undertake leadership roles in the Inland Empire and beyond.

Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism
The Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at California State San Bernardino forms community partnerships to combat bigotry, extremism, and terrorism that target people on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, residency, or other status characteristics. Objective research and historical information is available from the nonpartisan center to assist with formulating policy and protecting civil or human rights.

Center for Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies
CIMES is a teaching and research center to develop cross-disciplinary curricula, language programs in Arabic, Turkish, and Farsi, and to study world affairs issues related to the Middle East.

Center for Indigenous Peoples Studies
The Center for Indigenous Peoples Studies (CIPS) is the primary site for innovative programs for the study of American Indians and local, national and international Indigenous Peoples. The CIPS programs involves CSUSB faculty, students and administrators, partnershipswith Native Nations (Tribes) in the region and nationally, and strong connections with Indigenous Peoples throughout the Americas and the world, many currently in contact with Center personnel and the university.

Community Counseling Center
The Community Counseling Center is a service and training clinic housed in the Department of Psychology. The CCC has two purposes: 1) To provide low-cost or free counseling service to inpiduals from the community and 2) To provide a training site for graduate student therapists-in-training.

Institute for Child Development and Family Relations (ICDFR)
The Institute for Child Development and Family Relations (ICDFR) houses five active units:
- The Infant/Toddler Laboratory School: serves both typically and atypically developing children from six weeks to three years of age
- The CUIDAR-SB program: this program provides free parenting groups, child enrichment groups, as well as provider education, and consultation across San Bernardino County
- The Parenting and Family Resource Center: provides an online database of intervention programs, recommended readings, web resources, and downloadable handouts as they relate to children under age one to five years old ;
- The University Center for Developmental Disabilities, which serves children with autism and other pervasive developmental disabilities and their families and
- The Community-University early Intervention Collaborative (CUEIC) is the newest component to the Institute. It is a contract with Children's Network funded by First 5 to provide a needs assessment of community mental health providers for children under age one to five years old.

Learning Research Institute
The institute promotes an interdisciplinary scholarly focus on teaching and learning and how they may be improved. It seeks to formulate scholarly projects, generate financial and other support, allocate research funds, and otherwise serve as an advocate for scholarly attention on learning. Activities include bringing in local and national speakers, offering advice on relevant measures and assessments, promoting a research report series on learning at CSUSB, and conducting both immediate and long-term research projects.
