Study Abroad Programs

Student Clubs

Student clubs can provide you with opportunities to network, to gain experience volunteering or organizing programs or activities. The following are just some of the student clubs in the college or related to the college.

Minimum Qualifications for Faculty at Community Colleges

Many students who enroll in the M.A. program in Social Sciences and Globalization are working to qualify to teach at the community college level.

The link will take you to the minimum qualifications required to teach in various subjects in California Community Colleges.

For more information about teaching at community college, see: Dr. Kevin Grisham, Associate Dean, College of Social and Behavioral Sciences and Affiliated Faculty Member, M.A. in Social Sciences and Globalization

Professional Associations

There are many opportunities to attend regional, national and/or international conferences or to submit proposals to present research at conferences related to students’ specific areas of interest. Below are just a few of the professional associates that students might consider joining. Students usually get reduced memberships, and many memberships include a year-long subscription to the association’s professional journal. Take a look at their upcoming conferences to see if you can attend. Consider submitting a paper or panel proposal to present.
