COMPANY OVERVIEW: The mission of the Office of Student Research is to facilitate the engagement of students in scholarly and creative activities related to their disciplines by providing resources that support both student scholars and faculty mentors.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Office of Student Research (OSR) Social Media Marketing Intern will help grow and manage our multiple online platforms. This position will play a huge role in maintaining and growing our office's online presence. The ideal person for this role has knowledge of video creating & editing, online marketing, and social media management skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Update and Manage social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook and Twitter
- Creating and analyzing any promotional campaigns
- Ability to work collaboratively and bring relevant ideas to that encourage office growth
- Maintain an active presence on our online platforms, with new content that is online with our office's culture
- Increase interaction and following of our pages
- Daily updates on social media platforms with current pictures, vlog's and any relevant content
- Utilize marketing techniques to increase online traffic, department awareness
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Creative, Self-Starter with attention to detail
- Great understanding of Social Media platforms
- Familiar with research and creative activities is a plus
- Effectively takes constructive criticism
- Knows how to use Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube, iMovie/other video editing apps.
- Some graphic design skills
