SPIOP - Students Promoting Industrial And Organizational Psychology

SPIOP is a student organization that aims to promote I/O Psychology and increase the understanding and acceptance of I/O Psychology in the community it serves. We have monthly meetings, guest speakers, and a variety of social events throughout the quarter. If you are interested in I/O Psychology or a related field, SPIOP will give you access to a large network of contacts and opportunities to promote I/O Psychology.

About SPIOP

We are thrilled to have you as a part of our community. SPIOP was conceived by a group of first-year I/O students attending the 'Professional Issues in Psychology' class during Fall Quarter 1992. Credit for the creation of also belongs to Silvia Swigert, and outstanding MS I/O student of 1992-1993 who conceived and developed the original structure of SPIOP. These students were inspired by the message that better communication practices can increase the understanding and acceptance of I/O Psychology in the community it serves.

SPIOP became a CSUSB chartered student association in December 1992. It assists in connecting I/O students to the community by establishing relationships with CSUSB I/O alumni, regional business organizations, and CSUSB business and psychology student organizations.

Anyone interested is welcome to join, however, you are required to show an interest in I/O Psychology.
